1st fill Amarone hogshead finish
A sixteen-year-old Glen Elgin, distilled on 16 September 2009 and bottled at cask strength on 15 July 2026 by Signatory Vintage as part of its Cask Strength Collection. The whisky was finished in a first-fill Amarone hogshead, cask number 11, and the outturn is 294 bottles. The nose combines intense dark fruit, creamy honey and vanilla with floral touches and subtle spice. On the palate, sweet dried fruit and caramel meet a fine bitterness like that of good Amarone wines. The finish is long and layered, with cocoa and a deep spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
