A single cask Glen Elgin from Speyside, matured for 36 years in one hogshead. It was distilled on 22 November 1988 and bottled by Signatory Vintage on 23 May 2025 from cask 4318, for the Symington's Choice range within the Cask Strength Collection.
The cask gave 61 bottles at 43.7%, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings ripe apricot, candied orange peel and creamy honey, with oak spice, furniture polish and a little dried ginger. The palate is velvety, with vanilla pastry, yellow fruit and malt sweets alongside old leather, herbs and nutmeg. The finish is long and balanced, with almond oil, oak and citrus zest, growing drier.
