This Speyside single malt was distilled at Glen Elgin in April 2006 and matured for 16 years in a refill hogshead. Master of Malt bottled it in June 2022 at 51%, without added colour or chill filtration. The single cask gave 271 bottles, each of 70cl.
The nose offers toffee, warm caramel, cake and buttery shortbread, with creamy oak, vanilla, milky coffee and green banana. The palate is soft, smooth and waxy, with fudge, grilled pineapple, warming ginger, condensed milk and chocolate-covered berries. The long finish brings chocolate and cherry together with oak, butterscotch and lingering spice.
