This is a single cask Glen Elgin from Speyside, drawn from one hogshead for The Single Malts of Scotland series by Elixir Distillers.
It was distilled on 18 June 2008 and bottled on 28 April 2025 at 16 years old. Cask 805600 gave 261 bottles of 70cl at 56.3% ABV, with no added colouring and no chill-filtration.
Peach, pear and yellow apple lead the nose, with fresh honey and a hint of vanilla. The palate is juicy with stone fruit, pale grapes and blossom honey, plus malty sweetness, vanilla cream, oak spice and a touch of caramel. The finish is long and fruity, turning lightly dry, with almond and pale wood.
