Glen Elgin – 2009-2023 Single Cask Little Brown Dog Spirits (70cl, 54.1%)

This is a single cask Glen Elgin from Speyside, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2023 by Little Brown Dog Spirits. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 54.1% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky was finished in a cask that previously held Sauternes, the French dessert wine. The cask yielded 267 bottles at its natural cask strength. The colour is mulled cider. The nose offers panettone, warm buttered pancakes and gooseberry jam, while the palate brings bread and butter pudding, custard and campino sweets. The finish has star fruit, gingerbread and yellow chartreuse.
