This is a 10 year old single malt from Glen Elgin, distilled on 31 July 2012 and bottled in autumn 2023. It matured in a Shiraz red wine barrique, release C23076, and 281 bottles were filled. It is part of Claxton's Warehouse No. 1 series. The nose brings strawberry cream sweets and icing sugar on fresh rhubarb. The palate recalls a trifle, with cream, sponge and fruit alongside sweet malt, oak and tapioca pudding. In the aromatic finish, sweet balsamic cream appears, with more and more fruit lingering behind it.
