Glen Elgin – Peated Finish Hogshead Murray McDavid

This is a Glen Elgin single malt bottled by Murray McDavid in its Cask Craft series. It has been finished in ex-Islay hogsheads that previously held Caol Ila, which gives it the peated finish named on the label. The notes describe fresh fruit and sweet cereal with a touch of ginger, then sweet smoke and sea spray around soft fruit. The finish is long, with lemon and honey.
