This is a ten-year-old Glen Garioch from the Eastern Highlands, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2021 by McCallum for its Auld Alliance series. After its first maturation in oak, it was finished in Pomerol wine casks from Bordeaux. It is bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. The nose shows red fruit, vanilla custard and marzipan with gentle oak spice. The palate is velvety, with dark berries, plum compote, chocolate-covered cherries, honey and nutmeg. The finish is long, with dried fruit, wine tannins and spice, fading to a sweet malty note.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
