This is a 10 year old Glen Garioch, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022 by the independent bottler Best Dram. It matured for its full ten years in a first-fill Amarone barrel, and 230 bottles were filled at 57.6% ABV.
The nose is a typical Glen Garioch one, with fine herbs, cane sugar and red fruit, including young cherries, and chocolate joins later. On the palate, herbs lead after a gentle start, followed by cherries, cane sugar, milk chocolate and a little oak. The finish is long, warm and fruity, with fine herbs and a drying end.
