Glen Garioch – 1997/2019 21 Year Old Handfilled 1st Fill Sherry Butt (70cl, 57.4%)

This is a single cask Highland single malt from Glen Garioch, part of the Handfilled series that visitors to the distillery bottle themselves. It was drawn from Cask 9, a first fill sherry butt. The whisky was distilled in 1997, with the cask filled in September of that year, and bottled in June 2019 at the distillery, making it 21 years old. It was bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.4%, without colouring or chill filtration. It is described as a rich, fruity and spicy sherry-led malt.
