This is a 27 year old single cask Glen Garioch, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2026 by Chorlton Whisky. It matured in a single second-fill bourbon barrel and comes at a natural cask strength of 58.2%, with no added colour and no chill-filtration. Only 167 bottles were released, in 70cl.
The nose combines vanilla, honey, dried orchard fruits, buttered madeleines, golden sultana, lemon zest and cinder toffee. The palate opens with soft caramel, toasted oak, buttered sourdough and green apple, with gentle spice and coconut. The finish is warm and persistent, with citrus oils, toasted almonds and lemon tart.
