This is Glen Garry Finest Scotch Whisky, a blended Scotch from the 1960s, bottled by John Hopkins & Co. Ltd. of Glasgow. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV and was distilled, blended and bottled in Scotland.
The nose opens with ripe red apple, lemon cake and vanilla, then moves towards old damp wood, furniture wax, pencil shavings and a faint trace of bonfire smoke.
The palate is creamy and silky, with fudge, white chocolate and wild honey set against malted cereal and walnuts. The finish is medium to long, with baked apple, cinnamon and a light, earthy, herbal dryness.
