This is Glen Garry Finest Scotch Whisky, a blend from the 1970s bottled by John Hopkins & Co. Ltd. of Glasgow. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The nose is rich and sweet, with caramel, vanilla, dense honey and fresh-baked muffins or sponge, along with baked apple and pear, a touch of candle wax and a faint smoky, tobacco background. The palate is creamy and full-bodied, with white chocolate, vanilla fudge and roasted apples with honey, then herbal, nutty and warm spice notes with old wood and leather.
The finish is medium to long, dry and warm, with apple tart, cocoa and sweet spice.
