Glen Kirk is a Speyside single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour, and comes in a tube.
The brand belongs to Angus Dundee Distillers, and the bottling is done by Charles Hamilton Ltd in Glasgow. The name refers to the glens and churches of the Highlands; kirk is an old word for church.
The nose is light, with honey, heather and blossom, plus fruit and oak over malt. The palate starts soft, with floral and heather notes, pale stone fruit, a light sweetness, malt and oak. The finish is warming and fairly long.
