Glen Moray – 10 Year Old Chardonnay Cask Matured Special Reserve (70cl, 40%)

This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, which has distilled in Elgin since 1897. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured entirely in Chardonnay casks, in traditional low-roofed warehouses. That wine-cask maturation is what shapes its character, and the malt itself keeps its full body. It is described as fruity, with butterscotch flavours and lightly toasted notes that develop as the whisky matures.
