A lightly peated Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
Peat is unusual for the distillery. Part of the barley is dried in a peat-fired kiln and combined with traditional malted barley, giving a light smokiness with campfire notes. The spirit is aged in American oak casks, which add vanilla and oak.
Light gold in colour, it has a nose of peaty smoke with vanilla, tangy rhubarb and a little leather. Peat smoke arrives at once on the palate with creamy vanilla, and the long finish carries sweet, spicy oak smoke.
