Glen Moray 2008/2025 16 Year Old PX Sherry Cask Finish - Octave (Duncan Taylor) (70cl, 51.3%)

This is a single cask Glen Moray from Speyside, distilled on 28 October 2008 and bottled by Duncan Taylor on 7 October 2025 at 16 years old. It was finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry octave for The Octave series, and 55 bottles came from the cask. It is bottled at 51.3% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. An octave has more wood surface relative to the whisky than a large cask, so the two interact more closely during the second maturation. The nose has dried fruit, vanilla and spice. The palate brings chocolate and caramel with fine wood notes, and the finish is long and soft, with lingering sweetness.
