This is a 27 year old single malt from Glen Moray, a Speyside distillery. It was laid down in 1962 and bottled around 1990, as part of the distillery's vintage single cask releases.
The whisky is gold in colour and comes in its original wooden presentation case.
The nose is grassy, turning grassier and oakier with water, with linseed oil, wax and wet chalk. On the palate there is bitter lemon, Szechuan pepper, dried ginger and coriander. The finish is long, on crystallised oranges, ginger and lemon drops.
