This is Glen Moray Elgin Classic, a lightly peated Speyside single malt bottled by the distillery at 40% ABV around 2018. It carries no age statement.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks, and it brings gentle peat smoke to a region better known for fruit and floral styles.
The nose is usually described as wet peat and fresh grass, with red apple, heather, light smoke and a little vanilla. The palate is soft and creamy, with sweet malt, light fruit and a touch of spice. The finish is medium in length, with gentle smoke and lingering sweetness.
