A 12 year old Glen Moray single malt from the 1980s, in an edition titled The Highland Light Infantry. It was aged in American oak, which gives a hint of toastiness and a subtle sweetness. The colour runs from pale straw to Chardonnay.
The nose is fresh, with white and yellow fruit, summer-garden florals, freshly cut grass and a malty digestive biscuit note. On the palate come juicy white melon, pears, peaches, yellow apples and vanilla custard, with toast, nutty honey from the wood and little spice.
