Forbidden Fruit is a Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, the third bottling in its limited Xperience Collection. It matures first in bourbon casks and then receives a finish in French Calvados casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The Calvados finish brings out apple notes, with pear in the finish. The nose has fresh apple blossom and crisp green apple, along with toffee and sweet pastry. On the palate, spiced apple pie and vanilla cream meet barley sugar and wood. The long finish combines oak, poached pear and clove.
