This Glen Moray is a single malt vatted from five casks distilled in 2005 and matured for over 15 years. It spent its first years in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in casks that previously held Hungarian Tokaji wine.
It was bottled at cask strength, 53.6% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring, in a limited release.
The nose is sweet, with sugared almonds, caramel toffees and freshly baked gingerbread. On the palate these flavours mingle with malt and maple syrup.
