Glen Ord – 11 Year Old Deerstalker Wild Collection 59.8% (59.8%)

This is a single cask Glen Ord, distilled on 11 March 2010 and bottled at 11 years and 3 months old from cask number 108. It was filled into ex-bourbon casks and yields 345 bottles at 59.8% ABV. It was bottled independently by Deerstalker for its Wild Scotland Collection, and the label shows a pair of rutting stags. The nose is lemony and very floral, with vanilla from the bourbon casks. On the palate, floral fruit mixes with a wave of heather honey, roasted almonds, spiced stewed fruit and vanilla custard. The finish is creamy malt with crisp fruit and pepper.
