A 22 year old Highland single malt from Glen Ord, distilled in 1962 and bottled in 1984 by Samaroli, the Italian independent bottler. Named Bouquet, it is bottled at 50% in a 75cl bottle. Its colour is pure gold.
The nose is resinous and nutty, with almond milk, propolis, marzipan, roasted peanuts, beeswax, furniture polish and sandalwood. The palate is creamy and sweet, with waxy, resinous flavours, cough syrup, marzipan, dried ginger and smoked tea, with a dry herbal bitterness. The finish is long, waxy and carries lemon skin.
