Glen Scotia 10 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt from the Glen Scotia distillery, founded in 1832. The whisky is made close to the sea and matures for 10 years in first-fill bourbon casks. It is bottled without chill-filtration or added colouring.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with sea spray, sliced apple, lemon zest and toasted, salty white oak. On the palate come melted brown sugar, custard, orange marmalade, spicy pineapple and creamy vanilla from the oak. The finish is long, with soft ground ginger and peppery cinnamon.
