Glen Scotia 10 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 40% ABV. It has spent ten years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, which give it a soft character of wood, vanilla and fruit. In the glass it is amber gold with orange-gold glints.
The nose opens with sea spray and salt, followed by cut apple, lemon zest and toasted oak. On the palate there is syrup, melted brown sugar, orange marmalade and tangy pineapple over creamy vanilla. The finish is long, with ginger, gentle cinnamon and warm spice.
