This is the 2023 Campbeltown Malts Festival bottling from Glen Scotia, an 11 year old single malt at 54.7%. It is lightly peated. The whisky spent its first 10 years in ex-bourbon casks only, then a final 12 months in white port casks. The distillery keeps the type of port to itself.
It is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour, and it is amber-gold.
The nose is ripe peach, apple and dates with a touch of smoke. The palate has good weight and sweetness, with honey, cloves, sea salt and sea spray.
