Glen Scotia 12 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

This is a 12 year old Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia Distillery, founded in 1832. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. The whisky spent its 12 years maturing in selected oak casks, giving a balance of orchard fruit, gentle spice and maritime character. The nose combines orchard fruit, vanilla fudge and honeyed malt with citrus zest, toasted almonds and a coastal breeze. On the palate it is smooth and creamy, with ripe apple, pear, butterscotch and baking spices, and a salty note running through. The finish is medium to long, with honey, soft spice, citrus peel and sea salt.
