Glen Scotia 12 Year Old Seasonal Edition is a Scotch single malt that spent 11 years in first fill bourbon barrels and American hogsheads. It then had a 12 month finish in first fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads and heavily charred American oak casks.
The nose is rich with toffee, apple, sea spray, soft vanilla and salted caramel. On the palate, creamy vanilla and brown sugar are balanced by warm spice from cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long and nutty, with dried orange peel and a gently warming spice.
