Glen Scotia – 12 Year Old Seasonal Release (2021)

This is a 12 year old Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, a seasonal limited edition bottled at cask strength. It was matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon, refill American oak and heavily charred oloroso sherry casks, which bring warm spice, sherry richness and a deep, caramel-like sweetness of wood, along with a full, oily texture. The nose offers stewed fruit, caramel, a hint of smoke and warm spices. On the palate come raisins, roasted nuts and dark chocolate, followed by a long, warm finish.
