Glen Scotia 15 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt matured in first-fill bourbon casks and refill American oak, with a very short finish in Oloroso casks. The distillery used unpeated malt for it. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
Fruit leads the character, with toffee, a restrained saltiness, vanilla and orange blossom.
Citrus peel, ginger biscuits and baked fruit show on the nose. The palate brings apricots and fruit salad with caramelised sugar and oak, ending surprisingly dry. The finish is warm and spicy, with honeyed softness and oak.
