Glen Scotia 18 Year Old is an unpeated single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46%. It matured in refill bourbon barrels and American oak casks, then spent a final twelve months in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The result is a floral, aromatic whisky with hints of sea salt and spice, and a rich, smooth texture.
The nose is fresh and salty, with sweet honey and salted caramel. The palate is full and fruity, with thick toffee, apricot, pineapple and plump sultanas, and a gentle warmth of spice. The finish is long and dry, with a soft spiciness that lingers.
