Glen Scotia 18 Year Old is an unpeated single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for 17 years in refill bourbon casks and refill American oak hogsheads. The best of those casks were then vatted together for a 12-month finish in first-fill Oloroso casks.
It is described as floral and aromatic, with hints of sea spray and spice. The nose has crisp saltiness, perfumed florals, honey and salted caramel. The palate is rich and fruity, with thick toffee, apricot, pineapple and plump sultana, and a gentle warming spice throughout. The finish is long and dry.
