This is the second edition of Glen Scotia's 21 year old Campbeltown single malt, bottled at 46% ABV. It matures in a mix of refill bourbon barrels and American oak casks, then spends six months finishing in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is sweet and perfumed, with spiced red apple and peppercorns. On the palate come baked red apple and plump raisins, with clove, star anise and cinnamon, then creamy vanilla, toffee and sea salt spray.
The finish is long and balanced, with sea salt and dry sherry.
