This is a Glen Scotia 8 Year Old from Campbeltown, bottled at cask strength of 56.5% for the 2022 Campbeltown Malts Festival. It is a peated single malt finished in a Pedro Ximenez cask.
The nose is described as sea spray and a gentle smoke, like a fading bonfire on a beach, with honey, vanilla and fruit. On the palate come treacle, rich spices, dark fruit, raspberry and cranberry over an underlying peat. The finish is long, sweet and spicy, with salt and peat smoke.
