A nine-year-old Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, made for the 2024 Campbeltown Malts Festival in a 70cl bottle. It matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, then spent six months in Fino sherry casks before bottling at a cask strength of 56.2%.
Glen Scotia was founded in Campbeltown in 1832 as the Scotia Distillery.
The nose offers warming spiced stone fruit, stewed white peach and cloves, with fresh lemongrass. On the palate come molasses, caramel sweetness, prune, fig and sandalwood spice, and the finish is long and fragrant.
