Ribera del Duero red wine cask finish
A nine-year-old heavily peated Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, released for the 2025 Campbeltown Malts Festival. It is finished in Ribera del Duero red wine casks and bottled at 54.3% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The distillery makes peated spirit for only about four weeks a year, which makes the peated release unusual. Ribera del Duero is a Spanish wine region where Tempranillo is the main grape. The nose is peat smoke with a maritime edge. The palate has light liquorice sweetness and depth, and the finish brings tropical notes, ripe red fruit and juicy blackberries.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
