Glen Scotia – Campbeltown Harbour (70cl, 40%)

Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour is a lightly peated Campbeltown single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It matures entirely in first-fill bourbon casks, and its fruity sweetness sits against sea salt and a restrained smoke. The name recalls the harbour from which Scotch whisky from several regions was once shipped around the world. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose combines sea spray and vanilla with violet and lavender. On the palate come soft peach, crisp green apple, vanilla cream and a sweetness like chewy fudge. The finish is medium in length and dry, with gentle smoke, a peppery peat note and a maritime tang.
