This is Glen Scotia's 2025 release for the Campbeltown Malts Festival, a heavily peated single malt aged 9 years and bottled at 54.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition and is non-chill filtered.
The whisky started in first-fill bourbon barrels, then spent 5 months in Ribera del Duero red wine casks. Glen Scotia distils peated spirit for only six weeks of the year.
The nose offers swirling peat smoke, coastal salinity and creamy vanilla. On the palate come juicy blackberries and red fruits with rich oils, and the finish is soft smoke with a velvety mouthfeel.
