Glen Scotia – Double Cask Rum Cask Finish (70cl, 46%)

A Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, released towards the end of 2022 as the first in a series of ongoing small batch extensions to the distillery's Double Cask range. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks, then spent a minimum of eight months finishing in Demerara rum casks from Guyana. The notes describe cooked sugar, molasses and tropical fruit, including coconut, banana and sweet peach, alongside rich oils, sea spray, ripe fruits and spice.
