Glen Scotia Double Cask is a Campbeltown single malt matured in two stages: first in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, then in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
Glen Scotia belongs to the Loch Lomond group, which aims to recapture the spirit of Campbeltown's earlier years. Distilling on the Kintyre peninsula is said to date back to 1609, and the town of Campbeltown was founded in 1832, soon becoming known as the whisky capital of the world.
