Glen Scotia Double Cask is a single malt from Campbeltown, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It nods to the history of Campbeltown harbour, which brought in exotic casks and goods from around the world.
The whisky is matured in first fill bourbon casks, then finished for 12 months in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The nose is crème caramel, toffee, apple and peach, with sea spray. The palate is rich, spicy fruit with toffee and fudge. The finish is vanilla oak and gentle spice.
