Glen Scotia Double Cask is a Campbeltown single malt, bottled at 46% without chill-filtering.
The name refers to two stages of maturation. The whisky spends time in first-fill bourbon casks, then up to 12 months in casks that previously held sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry, which adds body and sweetness.
The nose is caramelised, with baked apple, peach and syrup. On the palate it is rich yet light, with fudge and peach and a hint of mint.
