This is an 11 year old Glen Scotia, bottled for the 2023 Campbeltown Malts Festival. It is lightly peated.
The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and then spent 12 months in White Port casks.
The nose is gently warming, with spiced stone fruit like stewed white peaches with cloves, plus fresh lemongrass and a delicate minerality. On the palate come molasses and caramel sweetness, with more plums and figs, waxy wood and sandalwood spice. The finish is full and long, with a fragrant aftertaste.
