Glen Scotia – 'Icons of Campbeltown #3' 12 Year Old

This is a 12 year old Glen Scotia, the third release in the Icons of Campbeltown series, issued in 2025. The series takes the Campbeltown Cross as its theme and tells a story with each whisky. Edition #3 is dedicated to the fishing wolf, a creature tied to the legend of the Scottish Wulver, who became a symbol of quiet helpfulness in Campbeltown. The whisky matured for just over 11 years in ex-bourbon casks, then spent nine months in first-fill tawny port casks. It is unpeated. The nose offers juicy woodland fruits, candied nuts and crisp red apple in caramel sweetness. On the palate come dried figs, orange peel and soft nougat, and the finish brings dark cocoa, dried fruit, vanilla and warming oak spice.
