Glen Scotia – Society Batch 11 Year Old PX Oloroso (70cl, 54.1%)

This is an 11-year-old Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, bottled at 54.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Society bottling, and it was drawn from 1,698 bottles. Oloroso sherry casks and Pedro Ximénez casks matured the whisky separately before it was married. A final harmonisation followed in first-fill bourbon casks, and the malt was bottled at batch strength. The nose brings spiced rum, juicy plum, toffee and citrus peel. On the palate it is rich, with sweet vanilla, raisins and festive spices, and the finish is long, nutty and dry.
