Glen Scotia – The Wulver Icons of Campbeltown #3 1st Fill Tawny Port Finish 12 Years Old (70cl, 51.7%)

Glen Scotia The Wulver is the third release in the Icons of Campbeltown series, named after a menacing figure from local Campbeltown folklore. It is a limited-edition, unpeated 12-year-old single malt, bottled at a cask strength of 51.7% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky matured first in hand-selected first-fill bourbon barrels, then spent nine months in first-fill Tawny Port casks. Master blender Iain McAlister created it, and the series pays tribute to the Campbeltown Cross, with artwork by Joel Holtzman. It is described as showing dark and red fruits, forest berries, rich sweetness and chocolate, with a subtle maritime saltiness and a long, enduring finish.
