This is the sixth batch of cask strength whisky from GlenAllachie, a Speyside single malt aged for 10 years. It is bottled at 57.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a combination of PX and Oloroso sherry puncheons, together with a small quantity of virgin oak and Rioja casks. GlenAllachie was founded in 1967 at the foot of Ben Rinnes and is now independently owned.
The tasting notes describe dark chocolate, mocha, heather honey and almonds, fused with cinnamon.
