The GlenAllachie 8 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from an independently owned and managed distillery at the foot of Ben Rinnes, led by Billy Walker.
It is made from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, together with a small quantity of virgin oak casks and red wine barriques. The result is a bronze-coloured spirit with a sherry-matured character.
Heather honey, butterscotch and cinnamon are followed by waves of ginger, toasted almonds and mocha.
