This is Batch 8 of the GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength, bottled at 57.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release and is not chill-filtered.
The whisky is a marriage of GlenAllachie matured in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, virgin oak and Rioja red wine casks. It is bottled at natural cask strength.
The nose offers milky coffee, nutmeg, walnut oil, heather honey, raisins and dried red berries. On the palate come cinnamon, molasses, honeycomb, ginger, dark chocolate and fennel.
